01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Located conveniently on the Autovía de Alicante at Km 65, Café Bar El Molino is a standout roadside bar & grill in Albacete that perfectly blends accessibility with quality. This bustling yet spacious spot is an ideal rest stop for travelers seeking a satisfying meal without straying far from the highway.

What sets Café Bar El Molino apart is its authentic, no-fuss approach to classic Spanish bar & grill cuisine. Although there is no table service—guests order directly at the bar—the staff’s efficiency shines even during busy rush hours. As one satisfied guest, Lidia Fernández Gago, shared, the team managed to find a table and serve food within ten minutes on a packed day, combining speed and quality at an excellent price point. This rapid service, paired with consistently delicious food, makes it a reliable choice for those on the move.

The menu is varied and thoughtfully curated to cater to all-day dining, from breakfast to dinner. Customers rave about the hearty and flavorful sandwiches, particularly the “lomoquesopimientos,” a toasted bocadillo filled with tender pork loin, rich cheese, and roasted peppers—an absolute must-try praised for honest, high-quality ingredients and superb taste by frequent visitor Gam Shot. The crisp, toasted bread adds a satisfying crunch that enhances every bite. Whether you're craving a quick sandwich or a full meal, Café Bar El Molino offers a genuinely appetizing experience.

Cleanliness and comfort also contribute to its appeal. Jim J highlights the impeccably maintained restrooms and ample parking, making it both practical and pleasant for travelers. Spacious seating areas further enhance the dining atmosphere, providing a clean and inviting environment to relax and recharge before continuing your journey. Audir Martins also notes the combination of good facilities and a menu that accommodates breakfast, lunch, and dinner needs, making it a versatile stop anytime during the day.

In essence, Café Bar El Molino promises an authentic, gratifying roadside meal with attentive service, generous portions, and genuine flavors that satisfy hungry travelers. Its welcoming vibe and well-managed space ensure every visit feels seamless and refreshing—a true gem on the Murcia/Alicante route through Albacete.

This is a busy but large roadside cafe just north of Albacete, on the main Murcia/Alicante road to Madrid. No table service so order at the bar. Very clean toilets. Plenty of parking available.
